The Aunt Jackie incorporates simple moves of clapping your hands together, closing them in a fist, and bringing them to your chest. Heavily influenced by old-school dance moves, Aunt Jackie is a very modern and up-beat. It is based on the Aunt Jackie song and video by Jason Fox and the Hood Presidents, and has gained popularity, evolving into more complex dance moves, with advanced dancers adding their own flavor. Jason Fox credits the song, in its lyrics, to his Aunt Jackie rapping: "I got the feeling when I'm chilling with my Aunt Jackie/ The type of music when you used to make your aunt happy/ The type of sound these young'uns don't know/ It's a new rap music with an old-school flow."
