DanceJam releases ShakeJam!

MC Hammer, DanceJam and musicshake have teamed together to host a contest that appeals to DJs and Dancers alike!

What is ShakeJam?

ShakeJam is a contest combining the best of two great sites!  DJs are being challenged to create a great dance track at musicshake, which will be voted on by the members of the musicshake community. The top dance track will be the featured dance track for a new tournament on DanceJam!

How do I participate?

Do you love to create music, or would you like to try? Go here to submit a track or to vote for your favorite!

What do I get if I win?

The winning dance track will be promoted on DanceJam.com and users from all over the world will dance to it!  Composing for the masses - that's awesome!

Winners of both the music (at musicshake) and the dance (at DanceJam) competitions will receive prizes ranging from from Flip Camcorders to iPods.

This contest embodies the best of the Internet - creativity, exposure, and a fair venue in which to compete. I love that the winners will be chosen by the communities and I think it's really great that musicshake and DanceJam, which are so complimentary have joined forces.

I look forward to hearing and to seeing all the entries. So far, the music has been really good! You can hear the top 10 entries on the ShakeJam page at DanceJam, but should go to musicshake to hear all the entries and to vote on the ones you like best.

It might seem like the ShakeJam Challenge has been going on forever, but the truth is that we're now in phase II. The ShakeJam community chose the winning track, and now it's your turn DanceJammers to show us the best accompanying moves.

Prizes will be awarded to the top dancers.
