I guess its just me but that competition seemed kinda fake. 1st off i been hearing one of the winners is a good friend of hers and that person so happen to upload his video a day after the deadline.
2nd all the winners videos were at least 2 mins long. I couldve sworn the rules said only 1 min.

Im not at all sayin i shouldve won, i honestly think i didnt bring it in my video and coulda done way better but what i am sayin is there was great videos that actually followed the rules and deserve to go to Orlando. Like i said, maybe its just me but thats how i saw things.

Jessi thanks for the opportunity anyway!

    Hey Swagg -

Glad to hear your concerns. As a member of the DanceJam Team I want to take a minute to respond, and I want to take personal responsibility for some of the issues. I have no idea if one of the winners is a friend of Jessi, so I can't comment on that. And, a few people did submit entries a few hours late, but not a whole day late.

As for any rules being broken....you're right that not all the videos followed the specific guidelines given, but we realized late in the game that the guidelines were a little arbitrary. In general, 60 seconds is a good guideline, but exceeding it is not a reason to be disqualified. Don't you think? If everyone agrees with you though, we'll be stricter in the future. And, more importantly, we'll get better at writing relevant rules.

All in all, it was a really fun contest. We at DanceJam LOVED seeing what everyone created. Jessi and Kevin LOVED watching the videos and are really excited for the Orlando performance. We'll definitely be doing more of these contests in the future and I hope you'll be part of them.

Thanks for being a part of the DanceJam Community!

My problem was those who didn't go by the guidelines...if I would have known I could of had my friends in the video, I would have. It was to be a one minute solo, not a group session. Why make rules if no one abides by them. It was not a fair chance to those like me who generally dance solo, and everyone knows that having a group makes the choreography ten times better looking. But congratz to those who won. And congratz to those who worked their butts off to do a solo video....keep rockin on.....lookin forward to better more improved contests. oh and I know exactly what swagg is saying.....

Here's the scoop! The Jessi Malay Casting Call REMATCH is coming soon! Monsters of HipHop, Warner Bros. Records, and DanceJam are hosting a multi-bracket tournament with the original entries and we're asking the DanceJam community to crown the top talent.

Each week eight of the videos will be randomly selected and put into a tournament bracket, from which one winner will be chosen. Prizes for the weekly winner include a Flip video camera and an assortment of schwag from Warner Bros. Records, Monsters of HipHop, and DanceJam!

In the ninth week, the eight semi-finalists will compete in the virtual "finals" and the winner will receive a scholarship to one of the Monsters of HipHop dance workshops in the 2008-09 tour. Pretty sweet, huh? It might not be dancing on stage with Jessi, but it will get you one step closer!
